Dit zijn de nominaties voor The Game Awards 2024

Op 12 december is de grote liveshow voor The Game Awards 2024. Zojuist maakte de organisatie de nominaties bekend in de verschillende categorieën.

Zoals gebruikelijk was TGA-oprichter en vaste presentator Geoff Keighley weer betrokken bij de bekendmaking. Het is een mager jaar voor Nintendo bij The Game Awards: er is geen Nintendo-game genomineerd voor TGA Game of the Year 2024. Van de zes nominaties, is alleen Balatro te spelen op Nintendo Switch. Ook in Nintendo’s ‘huiscategorie’ (Best Family Game) weet The Big N ‘slechts’ drie van de vijf nominaties in de wacht te slepen. Normaal gesproken pakken Nintendo-games minstens vier nominaties in deze categorie, en het is zelfs voorgekomen dat er alleen maar Nintendo-games genomineerd werden. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom weet een nominatie in de wacht te slepen voor Best Action/Adventure Game, Super Mario Party Jamboree is genomineerd in de categorie Best Multiplayer Game en Metroid Prime: Beyond gooit hoge ogen als Most Anticipated Game. Ook The Pokémon Company doet geen slechte zaken, aangezien Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is genomineerd in de categorie Best Mobile Game.
