Mario Wonder en Tears of the Kingdom ontvangen BAFTA Award

Gisteravond werden in Londen de BAFTA Games Awards uitgedeeld. Onder andere Super Mario Bros. Wonder en Tears of the Kingdom gingen er met een award vandoor!

In Londen werden gisteravond voor de twintigste keer de BAFTA Games Awards uitgereikt. In de Queen Elizabeth Hall werden diverse games uit 2023 in het zonnetje gezet.

Nintendo won in drie categorieën. Super Mario Bros. Wonder sleepte de Awards voor Family en Multiplayer in de wacht. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ontving de prijs voor Technical Achievement.

De grote winnaar van de avond was Baldur’s Gate 3. Deze titel (die niet speelbaar is op de Switch) won maar liefst vier awards: Player’s Choice, Narrative, Music en de felbegeerde Best Game Award. Ook een aantal indiegames vielen in de prijzen. Dave the Diver ging er vandoor met de Game Design Award, en Venba werd gekozen als beste Debut Game.
